Its peaceful surroundings, ancient architecture and panoramic Kashmir Valley views make it a memorable spiritual and historical landmark.
The temple has ancient origins and is traditionally linked to Adi Shankaracharya. The hill and temple have been important centres of Shaivism for centuries. Renovated across different periods, it remains a significant place of worship and an exceptional way to understand Srinagar's landscape.
